Dear 2015-2016 5th Graders,

Welcome to fifth grade! I don't know about you, but I am so excited for the upcoming year! This year will be full of exciting and new adventures that will teach us skills that will help us grow as individuals.

Knowing this is your first year in the middle school, the teachers will make sure that we do our best to make this transition as easy as possible for you. It is a great place to be on a daily basis and we want you to feel as comfortable as possible!

One of the best things about moving to the middle school is that you get LOCKERS!! I have heard that some of you are getting ready to decorate your lockers! Here are some locker do's and don'ts so you can continue to plan.

Do:
1) Make your locker your own!
2) Organize your locker for quick transition!
3) Remember your number when assigned!

Don't:
1) Use tape to hang anything up! (Tape is tough to get off!)  Magnets are preferred!
2) Put anything on the outside of your locker! Keep all personal items inside your locker!
3) Write on lockers!

I'm sure I am forgetting a few, but this list is a good start start planning. We will go over some of the expectations the first day of school!

Your only assignment for the first day of school is to come ready to share your summer activities! We probably won't have time for everyone to share everything, but bring one activity that you thought was the best!

P.S. The bathrooms are opposite from the Elementary school!
